We spent two glorious days with our guests at Powis Castle this year. Both, first day in May and the second one in August, were bright, sunny days. We thoroughly enjoyed both days, it was nice to see the changes in the seasons in the grounds and gardens. In May the wisteria and the roses were breath taking. In August the hydrangeas and tree colour with the sunlight was spectacular. The castle had differing entertainment for the children each time. We seem to notice more and more each time we visit, we will be going again. We have also enjoyed the gardens in December as they set up lights throughout the gardens which we enjoyed last year. It is just around an hour from the Cabin, but well worth it to spend the day enjoying both the castle and gardens, including the steps!
