Another National Trust property under an hour away from us (On the edge of Shrewsbury). Quite a magnificent house and grounds. As always with National trust properties a trail was available for children in the house. Although we didn’t manage it this time (last day of the school holidays) watching the herd of deer being fed is quite a sight. Lots to do, helpful staff, very large play area for the children, what’s not to like! It is another place we have been to more than once, more than a day needed to see it all. It changes with the seasons too. Lots of information and informative staff in the house, gardens have flowers, vegetables and fruit a plenty. Two cafes and walks through the estate, I think whatever the weather you would have a memorable visit.
